Human writing for people who still care about truth, tone, and trust.
I write for businesses and individuals who don't want their story flattened into generic AI phrasing, and who care about where their words come from.
This is copy built on critical thinking, empathy and human insight.
Language is a choice.
I'm not anti-AI.
It has its purpose and place. It is a fantastic tool.
But AI has levelled the playing field for many businesses who previously struggled to articulate their story, who found writing to be a barrier, or who felt limited by time, budget, or confidence. Now everyone has a voice. The downside? This has intensified competition for everyone.
So how do you stand out in a world of predictive, algorithmic noise?
You become the human voice that independently researches, thinks with flexibility and without parameters, and can critically evaluate the field to carve out a channel for your own authentic voice — whether for business copy or personal writing.
Tense because real writing requires respect.
Fallible by nature.
Accurate by choice (and proofreader).
Looking for writing that feels more human and less automated? We may be a good match: hello@wordsbywoodslea.com
AI is a brilliant tool. But for some tasks — and for businesses that choose to offer a truly premium level of service — it simply isn't the right vehicle.
You don't see A-listers flying economy just because the ticket was cheaper. Why? Because the experience matters — being served champagne by a human in a first class lounge pre-flight, the bespoke service you received from the host as you're welcomed aboard. Not joining the masses who've all ordered the same plastic-packed all day breakfast in seat 34C.
There's also the knowledge that the experience will be premium. AI is a bit like choosing the cheapest seat on the plane and then being asked to help start the engine when it stalls. You save money — but you pay for it in time, corrections and compromise.
For brands who care about how they are experienced, that trade-off doesn't make sense. When your clients are investing in the top tier, the writing that represents you has to belong there too.
After all, nobody expects a Michelin-star meal to be served from a vending machine.
AI works from templates; I work from conversation.
AI predicts; I listen, evaluate and attune.
AI follows patterns taken from elsewhere; I hear your story in confidence and tell it in your words.
When you paste internal notes, client details, or unpublished work into many AI tools, that information may be stored or logged on external servers. Even when a platform says it doesn't "train" on your data, it doesn't always mean it isn't retained, reviewed, or exposed in a breach.
For businesses working with confidential material, this can carry real data protection, compliance, and trust risks.
Learn more about meWhen working with me, client materials, interviews, and drafts are never entered into generative AI systems or third-party content tools.
Every project is treated as confidential. Nothing is reused, repurposed, or shared without consent. At the end of a project, you can request full deletion of all working files and notes.
Your work remains yours, always.
I work on:
All work is interview-led and written with you, not for you.
I've written for private clients, premium brands, festivals, charities and estate agencies for nine years and I bring the same care to every project.
